On arrival, observed a previously replaced compressor due to poor suction-pipe insulation; the compressor was not getting enough superheat (cooling) back to the compressor. The condensing unit's fins appear calcified, from direct water spraying, and the evaporator is missing a fan blade; insulation is missing on piping. System age is over 55 years; solution is replacement or multiple repairs.
