Arrived at clients home in Indian Wells Ca, for a wine cellar for a second opinion, client called for a diagnostic his wine cellar was above set point temperature, hovering at 74F which was pretty high for a wine cellar, we found compressor shorted, and system was also flat, we gave client repair and replacement options, client opted for replacement and a better design than what was currently there, we also installed ports to verify if evaporator coil and line set is not leaking, we are currently custom building the condensing unit with custom controls and a suction line acumulator which helps from to much refrigerant coming back to compressor when its colder outside, and also raise system so its not taking the hot air that convecting from the roof which will make the system more energy efficient, plus the controllers we are installing modulate the system which will increase energy efficiency even more.
