Lifetime Brazed-Joint Workmanship Warranty

Eligibility

  • Qualifying refrigerant-line brazed joints installed directly by American Cool Heat Air & Commercial Refrigeration.

Coverage

  • Warranted against leakage caused by the company's brazing workmanship for the remaining service life of the original system.
  • Coverage is limited to correcting the qualifying company-installed joint.

Exclusions

  • Refrigerant
  • Recovery or disposal
  • Difficult access
  • Wall, roof, ceiling, cabinet, or finish removal
  • Crane or lift service
  • Component replacement
  • Leaks located elsewhere
  • Corrosion
  • Vibration damage
  • Equipment movement
  • Structural movement
  • Physical damage
  • Contamination
  • Third-party alteration
  • Improper operation
  • Damage caused by another failed component

Unless the invoice states otherwise, the exclusions above are not covered.

Coverage Ends When

  • The original system is replaced
  • The joint is altered by another person
  • The account is unpaid
  • The equipment is moved
  • The original customer no longer owns or controls the equipment, unless transferability is expressly stated in writing

Warranty Claim Process

  • Contact the company
  • Provide the invoice or project number
  • Provide reasonable access to the equipment
  • Stop further operation when continued use could cause additional damage
  • Do not allow another contractor to alter the covered work before company inspection, except in an emergency required to protect life or property

Transferability

Not transferable unless transferability is expressly stated in writing on the original invoice or proposal.

Lifetime Compressor Protection on Qualifying New Equipment

Eligibility

  • New equipment furnished and installed by the company
  • Coverage expressly stated on the signed proposal or invoice
  • Original customer only
  • Continuous qualifying maintenance performed by American Cool Heat Air & Commercial Refrigeration
  • No missed scheduled maintenance beyond the written grace period
  • No unauthorized third-party modification or repair

Coverage

  • Replacement compressor part or written compressor credit, as defined in the qualifying proposal.
  • Manufacturer warranty must be used first when available.

Exclusions

  • Diagnostic labor
  • Replacement labor
  • Refrigerant
  • Filter driers
  • Oil
  • Shipping and freight
  • Crane or lift charges
  • Permits
  • Taxes
  • Electrical repairs
  • Controls
  • Contactors
  • VFDs
  • Piping
  • Coils
  • Contamination cleanup
  • Acid cleanup
  • Damage caused by loss of power, phase loss, voltage problems, flood, fire, corrosion, abuse, neglect, refrigerant loss, airflow failure, water-flow failure, or unrelated system failure

Unless expressly included in writing, the exclusions above are not covered.

Two-Year Parts and Labor Protection on Qualifying Repairs

  • The invoice expressly identifies the repair as qualifying
  • The company supplied the part
  • The invoice is paid in full
  • The failure is caused by a defect in the qualifying part or covered installation workmanship

Coverage

  • Manufacturer warranty applies first where available.

Exclusions

  • Customer-supplied parts
  • Used parts
  • Consumables
  • Filters
  • Belts
  • Batteries
  • Refrigerant
  • Fuses damaged by an outside cause
  • Maintenance items
  • Drain restrictions
  • Coil cleaning
  • Corrosion
  • Voltage problems
  • Power surges
  • Water damage
  • Abuse
  • Neglect
  • Third-party work
  • Unrelated failures
  • Equipment that was recommended for replacement due to overall condition

Make-It-Right Policy

Eligibility

  • Applies to the specific repaired or installed component on a covered invoice.

Coverage

  • If the company determines that a covered workmanship issue exists on the specific repaired or installed component, the company will return to diagnose and correct that covered workmanship issue without an additional diagnostic charge.

Exclusions

  • A different component
  • A new failure
  • An unrelated condition
  • A condition caused by lack of maintenance
  • Customer or third-party alterations
  • Utility or electrical-supply problems
  • Building, duct, water, drain, or structural problems outside the written scope

This policy does not provide free diagnosis or repair of the items above.
